Conservatives, Free Press Media is for You! by Andrew Bushard

As one author noted the federal government through the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is usurping the traditional American values of freedom of press and speech. Additionally, as this author suggested the government bureaucracy of the FCC interferes in free enterprise by restricting, regulating, and licensing broadcast television and radio.

The FCC revokes the traditions of our founding fathers. Our constitution's framers knew what they were doing when they ratified the 1st amendment. It is quite likely they would be repulsed if they could see how the federal government requires stations to conform to strict licensing conditions. Ronald Reagan, for one, was wise enough to repeal some FCC regulations and thus get America back on track. Whenever big government licenses media, freedom of press and speech are severely curtailed.
